New in Natural History Magazine
Of Mice and
Milkweed
"It's nice to be known for something besides Lyme disease," Dr. Liegner mused regarding his new essay in the prestigious Natural History magazine.
Originally founded in 1900 by the American Museum of Natural History, the publication has featured legendary voices ranging from Stephen Jay Gould to Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Dr. Liegner’s piece reveals how careful serial observation and inferential reasoning can unlock Nature's precious secrets—a skill set that parallels his medical practice.
"Every patient is a puzzle waiting to be solved," he notes. "The question is, are we smart enough to solve each puzzle?"
About Dr Liegner
Dr. Kenneth B. Liegner has been practicing for over 35 years and he has treated patients for Lyme disease who come from near and far. Practicing is not broad enough term for the challenging battle Dr. Liegner has waged to advance what we know about Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. In addition, he has published a very insightful book about treating patients with tick-borne disease (see more below).
We should be humble before this disease.
