Lyme Disease Conference on Capitol Hill

Making the The Quiet Epidemic documentary about Lyme disease and bringing it to Capitol Hill was a dream of ours. Senator Richard Blumenthal shared opening remarks before The Quiet Epidemic film presentation at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, on November 20, 2024.

A formal meeting or conference with attendees seated on both sides of a long wooden table, some taking notes. There are two cameras filming the event, a clock on the wall, and four trash bins labeled for paper, waste, and recycling in the background. An American flag is visible to the right.

In Dr. Kenneth Liegner's words, during the conference,
we need a tidal wave to reach those who have the power to change the course of history for Lyme disease. By rallying leading nonprofits, patients, caregivers, celebrity advocates and even those who are not yet impacted, but care, we can create that tidal wave together.

What our patients say…

About Dr Liegner

Dr. Kenneth B. Liegner has been practicing for over 35 years and he has treated patients for Lyme disease who come from near and far. Practicing is not broad enough term for the challenging battle Dr. Liegner has waged to advance what we know about Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. In addition, he has published a very insightful book about treating patients with tick-borne disease (see more below).

We should be humble before this disease.
